Qantas First Class Lounges

Mark Paul and his team were commissioned by Qantas to work with internationally renowned Australian designer Marc Newson, leading botanist, Patrick Blanc and innovative architectural firm Woods Bagot to design and construct eleven impressive vertical gardens in the new First Class Lounges at the Sydney and Melbourne International airports.

In a project where quality was of the highest importance, this creation had to be planned and executed meticulously. Featuring 8,400 individual plants in Sydney alone, the vertical gardens are used to create dramatic impact and instil a sense of calm, serenity and luxury.

The use of the vertical garden indoors is an excellent example of how Mark Paul can bring the outdoors in, and create a statement that far exceeds expectations for those who experience it.
